Description:
The U.S. Government, through the Department of State, manages and monitors collection of data regarding the U.S. defense article suppliers and manufacturers, as well as issues the license and authorizations for the export of defense articles and services to those companies. In order to achieve this, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), agency of the U.S. Department of State, publishes, implements and enforces the set of regulations, called as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). If the company products and/or services are subject to ITAR, it must follow the respective rules and regulations prior to and during the manufacture, export and re-export of defense articles and services.
