Description:
Before talking about the year 2016 Nintendo, I must remember that the year 2015, in my opinion, was one of the most solid years that Nintendo had this decade. You want to know why?
Nintendo released exclusives games for the Nintendo Wii U that most people never believed that it would launch such as Splatoon and Super Mario Maker, which has increased the number of the sales exponentially. Clearly that does not reach the same number of PlayStation 4 or Xbox one but also do not need to mention why, because I think everyone knows that, and it's not the most important!
2016 begin cautiously when it comes to games that are going to be launched this year, as well as the Nintendo "NX".
Let's start with the Pokémon franchise, who turns 20 this year and that Game Freak prepares many surprises! Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Super has already been launched in America and Japan but still lacking in Europe and brought good reviews. Pokkén Tournament will also be released this year and still missing announcing more fighters, but most people know what to expect. In my view, there are two concerns: Pokémon GO and a possible continuation of the primary series for the 3DS.
Pokémon GO because we still don’t know many things about the mobile game, and despite all the Google investment, I believe it will not be what people are expecting. Notwithstanding the existence of gyms and the possibility to battle with friends, it will continue a far cry from what most people expect. It will be fun, but don’t think that is what people should focus on.
About the major series, we have the 3rd movie, and apparently the last to be released this summer and the XY anime series is about to end, which it seems that the continuation should come soon, yet still nothing announced.
The games that are going to be launched this year and confirmed for Wii U are: Lego Marvel's Avengers, Mighty No. 9, Project Treasure, Earthlock: Festival of Magic, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Yooka-Laylee, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Star Fox Zero and of course the primary concern of Zelda fans: The Legend of Zelda. The game announced at E3 2014 have not more updates unless it will be released in late 2016.
For the 3DS we have confirmed: Hyrule Warriors Legends, Metroid Federation Force, Dragon Quest VIII, Monster Hunter Stories, Monster Hunter X, Zero Escape 3, Bravely Second, Fire Emblem Fates, among others. For the console that still keeps Nintendo on top, it's quiet and peaceful.
But the major concern of the fans is nothing less than Nintendo NX. Until now little is known, and it is speculated that is still available this year. Nintendo does not want to fail. Will he succeed? We hope so!
